Our Mission Statement:

Saint Joseph’s School is committed to continuing the tradition of Roman Catholic education in a caring, constructive environment.  We are dedicated to living and teaching the values of Jesus Christ.  Our aim is to provide the best possible education for our students and to build a Catholic faith-filled community with our families.  We strive to insure that our students are well prepared for their future education and ready to take their place in the world as responsible and productive individuals.

Philosophy of Saint Joseph's Catholic School:

Saint Joseph's School of Saint Joan of Arc Parish, Diocese of Las Vegas, is a Roman Catholic elementary school serving children in grades kindergarten to eight. Our school serves students from other parishes as well.

We believe in a total commitment to the education of children in partnership with parents, the primary educators, who recognize and accept that the wisdom and culture transmitted by a school are enriched by the gospel message of Jesus an taught by the authority of the Catholic Church.

We believe that providing a well-educated society is essential to the future of all. Our school setting affords us the opportunity to enhance each child's spiritual, moral, physical, intellectual and social development in a value centered environment.

We believe that a caring leadership, competent teaching and cooperative endeavors with parents is necessary for creating an atmosphere where there is a deep respect for knowledge. All members of our school community, parents, students, teachers, administrators and school staff, must work in a harmonious partnership to create a nurturing environment in which Catholic values are modeled and lived.

We believe that the cultural diversity of Saint Joseph's school makes us a microcosm of the world. We seek to motivate students to work to serve the needs of society, to embrace the plurality of cultures and creeds, to love life, to love family, to love country and to respect all as a wonder of God.

We believe that Saint Joseph's School accepts and challenges the unique abilities of each student. By presenting a variety of experiences and through the use of different techniques, we provide the tools necessary for the enhancement of each student's self-worth and for the attainment of each student's academic success.
