Spiritualist Desert Church is excited to host Physical Medium, Reverend Hoyt Robinette, February 9-12, 2007.Reverend Robinette will be conducting 4 seances, one each evening at 7 PM. These will be held at:

Reverend Hoyt Robinette's Pictures on Silk |
Reverend Hoyt will conduct two “Pictures on Silk” séances, Friday, February 9 and Sunday, February 11 and is available for private readings Friday, Saturday and Monday. Rev. Hoyt uses plain white silk squares for these séances. Each silk square has a small stitch around the outside to keep the silks from fraying away over time. When you walk in you find a piece of construction paper over each seat. You're instructed to take a seat and pick up and hold the construction paper on your lap, making sure your lap is free from any and all other objects. Once everyone is seated, Rev. Hoyt will pass out the plain white silks to everyone instructing them to hold the edge of the silk at the top of the construction paper and to be very still during the entire reading that too much movement can interrupt the spirits work, so he asks everyone to please get as comfortable as possible and then stay there. He’ll again go around the room giving messages from spirit in the same manner as the card séance. This time, all the lights are off, and it's completely dark during the message service. Once he's completely gone around the room, and everyone has received a message, he brings around a red light for a quick peek at the silk you are holding. In just that short hour, the spirits have placed faces, actual images on the silk that are either people from your past, a clue to your future, a family member saying hello, a spirit guide showing you in your own terms his physical appearance...again the images can be a variety of people and you might not always know all the people on your silk. Show it to the older family members and see if they recognize any of the images, you'll be amazed. When he's done showing you, he instructs you to roll up the silk in the construction paper provided and he gives you a rubber band to put around it. Furthermore, you're instructed to NOT OPEN IT FOR 24 HOURS at least! At that time, you may open it and take a closer look and show it off to others. It's best stored in a dark environment for best long time keeping. |

Reverend Hoyt Robinette will conduct one Spirit Card Drawing (writing) seance on February 11 at 7 PM at Spiritualist Desert Church.Reverend Hoyt will open a set of new blank index cards which will be verified from an audience member. He will then layer them in a “snake charmer basket” with many different writing and drawing implements, close the basket, making sure it is light tight and put it aside. While the cards are in the basket, “developing”, Hoyt will preform a blindfolded billet reading. Hoyt closes his eyes, tapes them shut and dons a blindfold…he then removes the billets (which we fill out when we arrive at the seance) from a box, unfolds them and proceeds to name those written on the billets and answer the question each person had asks on our billets. After "reading" all of the billets, Hoyt will open the basket and remove all of the cards, separating blank cards from the cards with pictures. Generally, everyone who attends the seance will receive both a card and, a message from their billet. Six members of Spiritualist Desert Church attend the Spirit Card Drawing seance at the Learning Center in Phoenix, Arizona in January of 2005. Biography of Reverend Hoyt Z. Robinette |
The Reverend Hoyt Z. Robinette is an ordained
Spiritualist Minister. His gifts are many and include trumpet mediumship, clairvoyance, blindfold billets, spirit cards, spirit pictures on silk, and direct voice. A native of Tennessee, he is a graduate of the University of Kentucky majoring in Business Administration. He has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. Hoyt travels throughout the United States, Canada and South America serving groups of people whose beliefs and customs are quite diverse.
