Greetings! Marilyn and I are looking forward to meeting and getting to know each one of you. We have already felt your care and love when we met with the Staff-Parish Committee. Our thanks go out to Pastor Wayne, who has been a blessing to First Henderson as your interim Pastor.

We have heard so many wonderful things about First Henderson. It is clear to me that First Henderson has a beautiful and energetic spirit. We have already experienced your wonderful music ministry when Trinity traveled to Mesquite and blessed the congregation with their beautiful music. I want you to know that I consider it a high honor to have been appointed to serve as your pastor. I ask your prayers as we begin this journey together. I will do my best to live up to your expectations for our future together.

I am looking forward to the energy and vitality that always breaks out when God’s people gather to pray, worship, serve and study. You have already cast the vision for a new sanctuary and I look forward serving with you to make this vision a reality. Together, we will grow in ministry in mission. Together, we
will reach out and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. As we serve to-
gether, we will cast a vision of hope to our community while reaching out and offering God’s grace and love to others.

In the name of Christ we begin! The hurts and hopelessness of the world are our agenda. Love, forgive-
ness, understanding and being understood are our fellowship and strength. Hope in the amazing grace of
God is our faith. We continue this journey of faith together, confident in God’s love!
