Well-l-l-l, OK. But we still don't know what it means! as it relates to Lionism! Will somebody please help!!!

EXTENSION is Lions Clubs International's (LCI) official name for what we refer to in our district simply as New Club Development.

For years a shroud of mystery has surrounded the name EXTENSION -- Extension Committee, Extension Kits, Extension This, Extension That, etc. -- and has caused no end of questions and, sometimes, even frustration: "What do you mean by 'Extension'?" "What does someone on the Extension Committee actually do?"

Your district Governor has tried to take the mystery out of the word Extension by removing any district references to the word and changing it to New Club Development.

So the next time someone asks, you can tell them that Extension is the LCI official name for what we in District 4-L5 refer to as simply, New Club Development.
