The hope is that, by browsing the contents of the site, our members will become more familiar with New Club Development (formerly in our district called by its official name, "Extension") and will be better able to work together with others in increasing our membership by building new clubs.

The most important factor to keep in mind is that this is YOUR web site. You can contribute your experiences and ideas in written form by sharing with others who peruse the site on a regular basis. You are free to write articles, share anecdotes and give others your ideas on ways in which our district can increase the number of 'quality' members through new club extension.

Some pages of the site will tell you they're "Private" pages. To access those pages, all you need do is click on one of the red "Participate" buttons, complete a short form and wait for acknowledgement and approval. It's a one-time registration after which, you're all set to go for the duration. This is necessary to maintain some semblance of control over the site.

Please keep in mind and understand that some of your writings and experiences may be edited for space, etc. but the content will not be lost.

You see, Membership is the life blood of our organization -- on any level -- be it club, district, multiple district or international. Membership is what drives our organization to live out our motto, "We Serve."

No, because of the fact that our great organization is "membership dependent", we'll continue to hear that we need to bring in new -- and, yes, younger -- members to our clubs throughout the world of Lionism. The concept is a simple one: the more members we have, the more people in the world we'll be able to help and the better able we will be to live up to our motto.

Maintaining the 'status quo' isn't enough. Our goal is to grow in numbers; To increase our membership; And there is no limit. Some members have actually been heard to say, "We have enough members in our club and don't want (or need) any more" or words to that effect.

Our committee name, New Club Development Committee, is very straight forward and speaks for itself. The fastest, easiest and most efficient way to increase our membership is through the building of new clubs throughout our district.

This web site is dedicated to New Club Development in our district and to the training of ALL our members in the who, where, why and how of building new clubs.
